Action Jackson is a 2014 Hindi-language action thriller film. It is directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Gordhan P Tanwani and Sunil Lulla. Starring Ajay Devgn in a double role, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam and Manasvi Mamgai, this one is a good watch over the weekend. Plot
Vishi is a crook who would do anything to make a few extra bucks. He loves an HR executive, Khushi, and manages to unite with her and they get in to a relationship. Vishi is known for frequently picking fights with street goons, but this time the goon-gang seeks revenge and attacks him. They beat up Vishi brutally and later realize that the person they beat up was Vishi’s look-alike, Jai. What happens with Jai and Vishi is what we see in the rest of the movie.
The movie portrays the story of a hitman taking help from his look-alike to escape from the crimes and clutches of a ruthless mafia.
Movie review
Prabhu Deva is back with yet another power-packed action movie. Compared to his previous venture R…Rajkumar, this one has even better action sequences and direction. You can see the magic of Prabhu Deva in the dance sequences as the choreography is fresh and entertaining. We can count on Prabhu Deva for excellent choreography.
Ajay Devgn does a great job in playing the roles of both Vishi and Jai. While Vishi is a crook who does anything for money, Jai is a professional assassin who worked for Xavier Fonseca. Jai is professionally known as AJ. Ajay Devgn has done a fabulous job in the movie playing two different characters. He maintains the characters and does justice to both the roles.
Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of an HR executive and she has done justice to the role. Yami Gautam plays the role of AJs wife. With limited screen time, she still manages to shine.
Kunaal Roy Kapur and Manasvi Mamgai also push the limits and leave a mark. Manasvi Mamgai is debuting with Action Jackson, and she looks pretty good in her role. She managed to pull off her character perfectly.
Action sequences have been well-choreographed with the right balance of weapons and actions on the set.
Should You Watch The Film?
You should watch the film for pure entertainment purposes. Ajay Devgn fans are going to love it anyways. The cast of the movie delivers excellent performances.
All of them have delivered good performances, just enough to justify the role. The one-liners in the movie are unbeatable.
If you are a fan of comedy, action and drama, Action Jackson can be one of the movies you might want to give a try.
